Potters House in Cromwell, Isaiah House in Middletown and Esther House in North Haven provide trauma-informed services and skill building to young women referred by DCF. Provides intensive psychiatric treatment for complex trauma within a developmental framework. Up to five girls ranging in age from 14 to 20 live in each home. They provide a transitional home for the girls as they move from acute inpatient or out-of-state care to successful community living. Staff provides ongoing consultation and collaboration with parents/guardians, courts, schools, mentors, vocational and Young Adult Transitional services to construct the approach to community-based living. The staff-to-client ratio allows for individualized care plans to help them as they transition to independence. A philosophy of connection, versus correction, builds upon every girls unique strengths to help each one reach their potential.
