Learn about:
- Our research-based Employer Neurodiversity Education that is transforming the way companies think about hiring, including and leveraging neurodivergent talent in their organizations
- The impact CNDEI is making on College Career Services for Neurodiverse Students through our leadership of a coalition of 75 universities across the country
We hope you’ll join us on February 7, 2024, 6:00-8:00PM ET to learn more about the important work UConn’s Center for Neurodiversity and Employment Innovation (CNDEI) is doing to change the future of employment for neurodivergent college students and alumni. I’ll be joined by our signature corporate partner, Wells Fargo’s Stephen DeStefani, the Senior Executive of Neurodiversity Program. The program includes neurodivergent/autistic employees, students and job seekers who will share their employment journey experience with us.
Neurodivergent college students and graduates often struggle to secure meaningful careers because of conventional hiring practices, management styles, and workplace environments that don’t understand and value how their brains work differently. These individuals are therefore two times less likely to be employed than their neurotypical counterparts.
UConn’s CNDEI was founded to make sure that neurodivergent college students are better prepared for the job search and that employers understand how to hire, integrate, and value neurodivergent individuals who sometimes behave differently but who bring exceptional skills to the workplace.
We would love to see you and any other interested parents, friends, employers, or mission allies there on February 7th to learn about UConn’s national impact in this space!
