Waterbury, CT 00000
I’m a certified Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) and the owner of LT Speech and Language Therapy, LLC. I graduated with a B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Connecticut in 2006, and an M.S. in Communication Disorders from Southern CT State University in 2008. I maintain yearly certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as the State of CT Department of Public Health. In 2013, I was awarded an ACE (Award for Continuing Education) from ASHA for completing at least 70 hours of continuing education within a three year period. I specialize in pediatric communication disorders. I have always loved working with children and their families, supporting them in their feeding and communication challenges. I am a PROMPT (level 2 – Bridging) trained therapist. PROMPT is a specialized tactile-kinesthetic approach to treatment that allows children to feel the movements of speech. PROMPT theory, technique, and overall approach greatly informs my work with children and their families. You can read more about PROMPT at promptinstitute.com. I currently provide on-site services to clients and families in the New Haven County. Please do contact me if you live outside this area, as other service options may be available. I look forward to talking with you!
