Special Care Dental Services

Special Care Dental Services (SCDS) was founded in 1997 as a response to the critical need for general and pediatric dentistry for Medicaid-eligible and underserved children in the New Britain, CT area. Since opening its doors, SCDS has served more than 15,000 children and their families by providing dental care, including cleanings, exams, digital x-rays, sealants, fluoride treatments, fillings, and dental education to name a few. The dentists and staff specialize in general dentistry and are affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, Pediatric Division. Our facilities are handicap accessible and our staff has lengthy experience working with physically and developmentally disabled patients including patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and we work closely with the staff at The Autism Center at Hospital for Special Care (HSC). At our dental clinic our doctors are dedicated to providing quality dental care to all children, regardless of their special health care needs.
