Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services – Community Based Living Skills

We are serving identified DCF foster children in Middletown and Meriden, who are preparing to transition from foster or congregate care to independent living. We provide an opportunity for learning, problem solving and enhancement of self-esteem that will help ensure their success when they are out on their own. We teach them how to access community resources, establish community ties and pursue vocational or educational goals. Success is evidenced through pre- and post-testing regarding specific program modules which are the basis of the Ansell-Casey curriculum.
