Vocational Consultant Vocational Evaluations & Transition Assessments

Mary Cotter is a Vocational Consultant credentialed with the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Vocational Evaluator. She is certified as a Career Counselor through the National Career Development Association. She is past chairperson of the Transition Division and current member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. This is all to say she is an expert at helping folks with medical, psychological, and learning disabilities create a career plan.

Mary uses a ‘Life Space’ approach to transition and vocational evaluations. Her reports include recommendations for special education goals and objectives as well as suggestions for referrals to the adult service community.

She is an advocate for students with disabilities and frequently attends PPTs ensuring that those who are the most vulnerable are afforded access to FAPE and provisions of IDEA. Mary knows how important school meetings are to your child’s adult life, beginning with middle school educational decisions.
