DMHAS Lunch & Learn Series: 5-Part Series on Personal Development
Key Principles of Substance Misuse Prevention
August 27 @ 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
The 5-part series on Personal Development titled ‘My Personal Recipe’ puts YOU at the center of your journey. Each element can stand alone, but when combined and practiced on a consistent basis, it provides the foundation for personal growth and mental well-being. When we neglect these ideas, we can self-destruct. We choose things to fill the voids that make us feel worthy and whole. Substance misuse becomes one of the first alternatives. ‘My Personal Recipe’ has less to do with prevention, and more to do with YOU. What are you feeding yourself on a daily basis to ensure that you are prepared mentally for the adverse situations that are ahead of you? We want to make sure you are intentionally working on yourself so you can have the best chance at a positive outcome. By implementing the strategies from our series, we can help remove substance misuse as an option.
